About Raj

About Raj Mali

Brief Past Profile

After finishing his post graduation in Advertising & PR in 1996, Raj went on to become one of the earliest certified NLP Practitioner from NFNLP, US way back in 1999.

During his brief stint in Advertising as a Copywriter & as an Entrepreneur leading a business of Security Solution, (where he falied big time), Raj discovered his passion for ancient wisdom on Leadership and Inspirational creativity and OD Consulting. In 2000 after shutting down his business in Security Systems and dealing with challenge of having gone bankrupt, he turned to Silence. And after a while, he decided to do only that which he loved to do.

He loved work of transformation, healing n inspiring leaders, artists n entrepreneurs and he stuck to that.

He was mentored by Sanjeev Bhamre, author of “The five great myths of career building and how successful careerist debunk them?”, and one of the leading authority figures in India on Systems Thinking & building Learning Organization.

While learning Systems Thinking & Principles of Appreciative Inquiry, shortly Raj grew to become a Principal Partner with MAF a consulting firm headed by Sanjiv Bhamre.

Due to his natural flair for facilitation & his understanding of Large organization systems, during his tenure with GE, Raj was certified by John F. Welch Leadership Development Center, better known as “Crotonville,” in different programs like Building Essential Leadership Skills, Coaching Skills, Facilitation Skills, Mentoring, Conflict Management, Change Management etc.

In his role of Sr. Manager, Learning & OD with GE Capital, he had also designed and delivered many interventions and programs for different GE businesses spread across India, Hungary & China. Having worked with organizations like GE as an insider and outsider, Raj created a vision of contributing his skills, knowledge and abilities to build Authentic Powerful Leaders who are willing to walk the path of balancing head and heart. Inspiring leaders who can lead with immense power of Love, Compassion & fearless heart and inspire others to do the same.

After his last role as VP-Organization Development, with a US based company, NMX, Raj returned from US with a dream of building the next line of leadership who are willing to challenge the existing yet limiting work & leadership paradigms.

Many Sr. Executives from organizations like IBM, Accenture, Cognizant etc. were benefited by his work in the domain of Leadership, Innovation and Coaching and could create a possibility of leading from a space of balance, abundance and long-term focus.

In 2006, Raj along with his partner Manisha Belvalkar, established Mint Consulting, now known as Red Wisdom which began to offer key leadership development initiatives and OD consulting work.

As a Leadership Lab Facilitator, OD consultant & Coach, Raj has worked with a long list of customers globally. You can find out more about it in the clients link. The heart of Raj’s work is enrolling leaders, employees and organization in creating and living possibilities that look challenging yet inspiring. May it be about growing concern over market uncertainty, to functioning and expanding influence in large organization system or handling everyday challenges of managing people and conflict, Raj has worked with organization leaders to co-create simple yet powerful functional and cognitive models that work.

Raj has been recognized as a a key contributor to Leadership development & inspiring creativity from heart initiatives with organizations like KPIT Cummins, Amdocs etc. His facilitation is compared to one of the world’s best.

Today, Raj is known as Corporate Mystic due to his unique ability to blend ancient wisdom in today’s leadership context. Enabling Sr. Leaders to deal with complex business situations n dilemmas with a spirit of awareness, creativity n balance of head n heart.

His “Leadership Labs” are 2 to 4 day interventions where Leaders reflect together what is really happening with them and around them and create possibilities which were dormant within their heart to create powerful results for their organizations, relationships and communities they r a part of.

He is known for unleashing a source of inspired creativity which can be sustainable with a lill practice. His approach is unique, his methods have been intriguing and his demeanor is at times calm like sea and at times passionate like wild river moving with full force. A rare kind of Leadership Facilitator who has balanced both Yin n Yang style of facilitation.

Apart from corporate work, Raj serves as a Sufi, a Shaman n Tao teacher.

He believes all Leaders and aspiring leaders have powerful destiny and they can create powerful businesses n communities if they learn to harness the power of balancing head n heart. Most Sr. corp leaders often get good at head, numbers n results but slowly feel alienated, lonely n stepped over because they haven’t learnt to win hearts. Or vice versa.

He says, “there are more Sufis, Taoist Masters n Ancient Wisdom keepers in corporate world than out there in the market of spirituality sellers”. And his dream is to weave the thread of Love, Compassion and Inspired living, through Corporate Leaders n Artists n Dreamers.

Pursuing dreams and honoring the personal calling of the heart to lead meaningful life has been central theme of his work. And second being “Inspired Creativity”.

He works with all kinds of artists mainly Painters, Writers, Actors, Directors, Bollywood stars, Healers, Spiritual Teachers etc. His belief is Artists and Sr. Leaders in business have bigger potential to bring in more love, harmony n peace to this beautiful world. And hence after his first “awakening” experience in 2000, he chose to dedicate his life to build powerful Artists, Entrepreneurs, Transformation Facilitators, Sr. Industry Leaders, Spiritual Teachers n Healers.

He  and his partner Manisha Belvalkar at Red Wisdom, does not differente between Spiritual n Material, Art n Business, or Corporate Ladder seekers n Mystery seekers. He believes that these are only difference facets that we all have but we are afraid of embracing them all at once.

And hence he chose to Lead by example. ;-)

He leads Leadership Labs fully focused on Complex Orgn Problems one week and next week Leads a Shamanic Healing Retreats. He works with Bollywood aspirants n also Spiritual Healers with same passion n ferver. It is unity in “seeing the spirit at work” which can set one free is his belief.

In the words of people touched by his work; Raj connects to everyday reality as closely as possible and yet enrolls people in new possibilities.

“Its a different joy and exhilaration to learn with Raj. His tremendous knowledge, exceptional facilitation skills and abilities are on the borderlines of that of a New Age Mystic. Who makes complete business sense and yet touches the heart. A rare species of facilitator and consultant who is so focused on delivering real value without getting caught in jargons. His simplicity and quiet demeanor creates safe space for people to show up as who they are and create new possibilities and ways of being which are freeing, empowering and many a times life altering. Powerhouse of calm yet inspirational creativity.

He help us enter into a “zone”. A zone where we can be who we are and stand for creating something new and inspiring”
